Multi Tasking

Multi tasking is a necessary skill that all people need in life. You constantly are multitasking in job functions you have to fore fill plus every day task to complete, along with managing friends and family life has a lot to throw at you everyday. But while some people believe multi tasking takes away from peoples abilities to truly function on one task, these people are somewhat wrong. A Pew research study found that people under 35 are able to do work bette while multi tasking. This involved young people using technology to help them function more. With the increase in technology that has come across the past couple years , people are able to get more done then any other time period . With my age group and younger being around technology and being used to experience it more than any other generation; were better at multi tasking now . While this is all great for people getting their things done, it shows some bad results as well. Kids now a days are to attached to the internet. People and kids rely on the internet to solve their problems. Short social media trends are always on the rise so nothing stays the same, your attention is always being placed to something else. While I believe it is beneficial to multi task, we have to take in all the factors that this brings us.

Wearable Technology

It seems now a days people are becoming more and more dependent on technology . With wearable technology becoming a new trend in the age we live in. But in my opinion wearable technology is something that is going to become more popular with time. It can enhance all aspects of society, and it can also help us maximize all aspects of our what we do. That being said I would wear google glasses. They can be used for a lot of different ways but I'd only take them out when I need to . It even has technology that help people with health and correction posture. While I don't believe it is a bad thing I think it is something that most people in this world should go with out .

Phone Mania

As a society that has been taken to technology to advance ourselves their are certain aspects we surrender for our greater good. Take cell phones for example, cell phones help us become more connected to all society but we end up sacrificing basic communication skills . Instead of talking to one another, we often go to our phones to spend our time. If a conversation doesn't pick up or is exciting, we turn to the internet . Because often enough people are to impatient to have a deep and meaningful conversation. I as a person am not solely dedicated to my phone. This is because the way my parents raised me. I got a phone the summer going into sophomore year. I had always complained that all my friends had phones and it wasn't fair that I didn't . This gave me a perspective of not getting to attached to social media, and not being to attached to my phone. I believe I pay more attention to people and things going on in life then most people do. Often enough times though my friends are very dedicated to their phones. Sometimes we make rules like when we go out to eat that everyone puts their phones in the middle and we can't use them unitil after we eat.

Technology

Pros and cons come with anything. While the debate over the pros and cons of technology and if its actually beneficial will go on for years to come. But overall in the opinion of myself , technology is one of the most important inventions to impact our world. Technology helps peoples innovate their lives and get more information they need to know about our complex world we have at hand. If we have a problem or we need to know something we can go on the computer and look at what it is . While their are a lot of many good things about technology and all that comes with it. Social media is a new up and coming thing that all of the world uses to stay connected. But their are some cons to this as well. While we all remain connected to together, their are increase threats to our security by this. Hackers can go online and get our information and use it against us . Hackers can steal information from companies and use this to their advantage in business .

In this article, a new major law was established that states the area between the U.S and Europe should be safe harbor for sharing information between companies when news that information was leeked. This law would effect companies that constantly deal with information sharing for ads like google and Facebook. A few non disclosed American companies leaked information of European citizens that was abused by companies and governments. The online advertising business and companies that deal with online data transferring could take a major finical hit as well if this decision is to impact further restrictions down the road.

As we go on further into the future technological breakthroughs come as the years go by. The newest innovation that is about to hit the world is automated cars. With the threat of human choice always a concern for accidents to happen, why not take humans out of the equation? The google driverless car has been going through more tests and trials and could even qualify for a safe drivers discount in 3 years according to the article . We already have robots perferoming surgeries around the world, its not to far fetched to think this technology could be driving us around in the future. While these cars are far from being able to be driven by the public, google has been doing more tests and trials on the car. In a recent accident report by google, the self automated car had a safety driver who stopped to close from a cross walk. The pedestrian was fine, but the google car was hit from behind. After tests were done on the accident, it was shown that if their was no safety driver the google car wouldn't have gotten into an accident. While this one test doesn't give enough evidence to show that automated cars should be used now, it does go to show this technology is not far off from being a regular thread in our society. But the autonomous cars are for now an idea for the future. A more perfect future where human imperfections are taken out of the equation.
